Microsoft today released a significant update to Office Lens for both iOS and Android. The update contains a number of new features for both platforms, although the more major update seems to be for iOS.
Here's what's new in Office Lens for iOS:
Office Lens team is all ears! This version includes top requests in User Voice : multi scanning, and rotation.
- Multi-scanning
Take a series of images and save them at the same time.- Rotation
Rotate photos.- 3D touch
You can select modes by pressing and holding the Office Lens icon on the screen. This works on iPhone 6s and 6s Plus.- Handwritten text OCR
Scan handwritten text in English and export it to OneNote, where you can search for it like normal text.- Business Card mode
Scan business cards in Simplified Chinese and extract contact information.- Bug fix
Users who have the same Office 365 and Microsoft account can use Office Lens with both accounts.

Sadly, there is no update available for the popular scanning app for Windows phones. According to the app description, the most recent update to Office Lens for Windows Phone was for PDF support, which happened in February, 2015.
