OnePlus announced today the launch of its doorstep service in India, an after-sales effort that aims to make it easier for customers to have their broken phones repaired. The new service offers repair services to customers right at their home or office.
The on-site repair service is available in Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, and Pune from today. OnePlus first rolled out the doorstep service as part of a pilot program a few months ago in Delhi, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Today's announcement expands the service's availability across the country.
To request a repair, simply open the OnePlus Care app on your phone and tap "Book a Repair". Then choose your phone model, provide your area ZIP code, tap "Get an engineer to visit your location", and finally enter your complete address. Your request will be submitted automatically after you tap "Save this".
The service is limited in scope based on your postal codes, so chances are that it may not be available to some customers. Anyway, OnePlus also maintains a number of walk-in service centers in the country. In fact, the company opened two new repair centers in Kolkata and Indore in January and plans to open similar hubs in Aurangabad, Baroda, and Lucknow in the first half of 2020.
