Opera browser free on Wii until summer

Opera Software has today released further details on the web browser for Wii. As well as offering Flash support, the browser will be compatible with AJAX content such as Google Maps, and will include the same functionality as the Opera 9 desktop browser for PCs along with Zoom and Bookmark options.

Nintendo has also confirmed that the Opera Browser will be available to download for free between the Wii launch and July 2007, after which it will have to be purchased with a certain amount of 'Wii Points'.
