Mobile phone network Orange has launched its latest Windows Mobile smartphone - which it claims is the smallest handset of its kind in the world.
The SPV C500 measures 10.8 x 4.6 x 1.6cm and weighs just 100g. The device sports a 16-bit colour display and includes Bluetooth support. It contains 64MB of memory, but there's a Mini SD card slot to add more.
The handset will run Windows Mobile 2003 Second Edition. Orange will also install its own over-the-air backup and software update applications. The C500 incorporates a tri-band GSM/GPRS radio
The C500 is expected to ship in the "summer", Orange said, in the UK, France, Switzerland, Denmark, Netherlands, Poland and Slovakia. Pricing will be disclosed when the handset ships.
