Outriders, new Square Enix game teased for E3 next week

Square Enix already has an Avengers game up its sleeve, primed to be unveiled at its E3 showcase on June 10, and Dying Light 2 is also prepped to make an appearance there. Adding to that today, the publisher released a short teaser for Outriders, a brand new title that we will get to see at E3. Catch its teaser trailer below.

There's not much information outside of the trailer, which shows a person waking up from cryostasis. Looking deeper at the Outriders Twitter account, which has been quietly blurting out messages since May 1, it appears this person is just one of many traveling in space while under cryosleep, all journeying towards a new planet in the Kuiper Belt named Enoch.

This could be the Bulletstorm studio People Can Fly's AAA shooter that has been in the works for some time now, which Square Enix has been confirmed to be the publisher of. There is also a slim chance of this being a part of Square Enix's Marvel game universe, as fans might recognize the name Outriders as the multi-armed creatures Thanos uses for his army. However, considering there isn't a "Marvel's" prefix attached to the game's name, this is unlikely.

In any case, we will see more during Square Enix' E3 showcase, which kicks off at 6PM PT on Monday, June 10.
