Both Xbox and PC versions of Digital Extremes' first-person shooter will include an in-game multiplayer map editor.
Developer Digital Extremes announced today that its forthcoming action game Pariah will include an in-game multiplayer map editing tool. The officially titled MAP (Make and Play) Editor will be a feature in both the Xbox and PC versions of the first-person shooter.
Digital Extremes is aiming for a "simple, but powerful" tool that will let the player edit many parts of the map, including terrain, lighting, textures, and object placement. Xbox players will be able to share their created maps over Xbox Live as well as via system link and memory cards. In addition to the in-game tool, owners of the PC version will also be able to use a full suite of Unreal engine editing tools that will be included in the game. The developer is still finalizing the full feature set for the map editor.
