In the next couple of months or so, Microsoft will begin rolling out the Windows 10 Fall Creators Update, bringing all sorts of new features and improvements to the OS. The latest preview build of the new update was released yesterday, and Microsoft has said that it's now approaching the final phase of its development, focusing on squashing bugs, and adding some much-needed polish.
The current version of Windows 10 is the Creators Update, which began rolling out to PCs in April. According to the most recent data from AdDuplex, over 50% of Windows 10 PCs are now on the Creators Update, having passed that significant milestone this month.
However, last week, Microsoft confirmed that some PCs will not be able to upgrade to the Creators Update, or any other future version of Windows 10. Those devices - which have older Intel Atom 'Clover Trail' processors - will continue to receive security patches until 2023, but will no longer be eligible for Windows 10 feature updates.
With the weeks now counting down to the release of the next major Windows 10 update, we're eager to hear if your PC has received the Creators Update yet. Did it come through via Windows Update, or did you install it manually? Are you still waiting, or is your PC among those that will never get the update?
For the purposes of our poll, we'd like to know if you've installed the update on your main PC - the one that you use most frequently, whether for work or play. Cast your vote in the poll, and be sure to share further details in the comments below on any other PCs, tablets, notebooks or 2-in-1s that you've upgraded (...or not!).
