Last year, Samsung suffered a heavy blow when its Galaxy Note7 started bursting into flames across the world. After an unsuccessful attempt to resurrect the handset, the firm was forced to recall the unit and discontinue it. While it is still early, 2017 seems to be shaping up to be a much better year with the release of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. The handsets have gone on to sell over five million units in the short time that they have been on sale.
We know that despite the bad stigma the Galaxy Note now has, Samsung is still going to produce a new model of it this year, with promises that it will be "better, safer, and very innovative". Although there have been little peeps here and there about the Galaxy Note8, this new video could be our first real look at the front of the device.
While it's hard to tell, the video shown below shows us the alleged front glass of the Galaxy Note8. From what can be seen in the short clip, it looks to be fairly large and does have small thin bezels on the edges.
If last year's handset is any indication, there is a high chance that this year's model will try and borrow some elements of design and features from the Galaxy S8. Naturally, we will have to wait and see. But, if one thing is for certain, the competition looks a bit more fierce with the impending release of a revamped LG V30, OnePlus 5, and an entry from a newcomer, Essential.
