PowerPoint Presenter Coach makes its way to Office Insiders on iOS

As it does every month, Microsoft is rolling out a new set of updates to the suite of Office apps on iOS for users enrolled in the Office Insider program. This month's updates bring version 2.44 of the apps, with build number 20112905, and there are a few notable additions.

First off, Presenter Coach is now available in PowerPoint for iOS. The feature was first announced in the summer of 2019, and earlier this year, Insiders on Android got to try it before wider availability. It's a tool that lets users practice their presentations with tips and guides to keep the presentation engaging, including warnings about long pauses, monotone speech, and so on.

PowerPoint, Word, and Excel are all also getting support for inserting and viewing animated GIFs in the editor.

Outlook is also getting a handful of notable additions, starting with support for Play My Email on iPadOS. This allows Cortana to read out your email inbox aloud, and it's been available on iPhone for a while now. Outlook can also now make calls on Teams using your voice. You can tap the microphone icon in the search bar and ask to call one of your contacts to begin the call. Finally, for those using dark mode on iOS 13 or later, it's now possible to toggle light mode for emails, which may be useful in certain cases where dark mode affects the readability of messages.

Finally, the unified Office Mobile app now has the ability to filter content on the home page by type. These features should now be available to Insiders and are likely to make their way to all users sooner rather than later.
