British video game developer Frontier Developments has announced that its upcoming console version of the PC title Planet Coaster will launch on November 10, 2020, and pre-orders are now open for all platforms. This includes the previously announced PlayStation 4 and Xbox One edition as well as the more recently revealed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S variant.
As the PS5 will launch a few days after Microsoft's next generation of consoles, Planet Coaster: Console Edition will arrive on Sony's new gaming platform a little later. PlayStation 5 users will be able to acquire copies of the game the day the console launches - November 12 in the US, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and South Korea, and November 19 in the all other regions.
Two types of next-gen upgrades will be available to owners of the current-gen variant of Planet Coaster: Console Edition. They can either choose a digital upgrade or opt for a physical one by inserting the game disc into the next-gen console. The next-gen upgrade will be available free of charge to those who buy the game on the Xbox One or PlayStation 4.
Planet Coaster: Console Edition is scheduled to arrive on all of Sony and Microsoft's gaming systems in November in both digital and physical forms. The amusement park-building title will set customers back $49.99 for the standard edition and $59.99 for the deluxe edition. Pre-orders are now open and can be placed on the game's official website.
