Last month, Microsoft announced the new Surface Pro, and alongside it, new Surface Pens. Panos Panay said that it's the "fastest digital pen on the planet", with just 21ms latency when used with the new devices. It was a title that was short-lived - especially since the new Pens aren't out yet - as Apple today announced new iPad Pros where the Pencil has 20ms latency.
Microsoft's new Surface Pen is available to pre-order right now, although currently it's only the Platinum model that's being offered, and only in the United States. It costs $99.99, although there's an educational discount where it's priced at $89.99 for teachers and students.
The new Pen does include some interesting new features. Aside from the low latency, it supports being tilted, so you can use different shades at various angles.
As you can see from the image above, the Surface Pen will also come in Burgundy, Cobalt Blue, and Black, but the pre-order button is still grayed out on those. You can pre-order your Pen here, and it will ship on June 15. The other colors don't have shipping dates listed.
