E3 2017 is well under way with numerous games being announced by EA already, and Microsoft's press briefing to look forward to in less than 12 hours. However, there's a lot more to look forward to over the course of the next few days, most notably, Bethesda's E3 event which is scheduled to begin at 9:00 pm PT today. Now, a new report indicates that the company may unveil The Evil Within 2 at its press conference.
According to a premature ad listing over on Reddit, it appears that Bethesda is gearing up to launch a sequel to The Evil Within. This piece of news is inline with what we heard earlier about the company planning two unveil two new games at its E3 presentation. Strong contenders for these spots included sequels to Wolfenstein: The New Order and The Evil Within.
The ad listing, which was spotted on Reddit, can be seen below:
The Evil Within was a survival horror game released on the PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation 4, back in 2014. The development of the title was spearheaded by Shinji Mikami, who is the creator of the more iconic Resident Evil series. While not a breakout success, The Evil Within was received positively by gamers and reviewers alike, and currently boasts a 7/10 rating on Steam. Naturally, we'll have to wait until Bethesda's E3 presentation to find out if the rumors of a sequel to The Evil Within are indeed true.
