Back at E3 2017, Microsoft announced that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) would be coming to the Xbox One as a "console launch exclusive". Towards the end of last year, the title was released for the console and was quite positively received, with the Xbox One player count blowing past 4 million in a little over a month.
At its E3 conference today, Microsoft has announced that War Mode and PUBG's third map are coming to the Xbox One this year.
The thrilling one-shot kill War Mode is quite popular on the PC, and players will undoubtedly be pleased to see it coming to the Xbox One as well. Furthermore, PUBG's third map "Sanhok" offers variety in gameplay with a much smaller and jungle-themed setting. Lastly, the company also hinted at the fourth winter-themed map coming to the Xbox One as well. You can check out the reveal trailer below:
While both of the aforementioned features arrived to the PC first, it is still clear that the developer wants to achieve feature parity between the two platforms. Sanhok will be available for the Xbox One this summer, while War Mode is slated for a launch in winter 2018.
