While the PC version of PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) is almost primed to receive its third map, players on the Xbox One are still having chicken dinners on the original island, Erangel. However, the team working on the Xbox One version announced via the official forums today that the Miramar map will soon be available on the console, alongside the new PUBG Test Server's launch.
The new test server will be up for download via the Microsoft Store beginning at 12am local time on April 24. Beyond that, the test servers will go online at the following times, and it doesn't look that pretty for Europeans players:
U.S. (PDT) SCHEDULE
4/25, 4/26, 4/27: Servers available 5pm PDT through 11pm PDT
4/28 & 4/29: Servers available 11am PDT through 11pm PDT
EUROPE (CEST) SCHEDULE
4/26, 4/27, 4/28: Servers available 2am CEST through 8am CEST
4/28 & 4/29: Servers available 8pm CEST through 8am CEST
Regarding the testing of the new map, the developer advised players to expect bugs and other issues while playing, and announced that it will be giving away cosmetic items as bug bounty rewards for 150 players that help out in finding flaws.
Also, at least at first, the matchmaking will be limited to third-person perspective on North American servers. There is no word on a map selection feature - coming soon to the PC version - for PUBG's Xbox One Game Preview version just yet, but as the developer plans to have more testing sessions in the future, we could see the option pop up at a later date or at full release.
