The PC exclusive Quake Champions was announced at E3 last year, promising a return to the original Quake's fast, skill-based gameplay mechanics. After hosting a couple of closed beta sessions in April, Bethesda has now announced a Large-Scale Tech Test. Unlike previous sessions, anybody who signs up will be able to join and test the game out.
The Tech Test will run for nine days straight from May 12 to May 21 where players can enjoy some fast-paced combat against each other with full access to the game's currently available Champions and arenas. Furthermore, the game's NDA will lift at the start of the Tech Test on May 12, meaning everyone who aims to share any gameplay will be able to do so without any restrictions.
A brand new game mode titled Sacrifice Mode will also be featured in the Tech Test. Although missing specifics, Sacrifice Mode will be a 4vs4, team-based mode, for which the developer recommends players to "Pick your teams and Champions wisely and work together to dominate the Arena in this new mode."
Players that are interested in taking part in the Quake Champions Tech Test can register for it at the official website here.
