Quake was released a little over two decades ago and was a game that had the direction of John Romero and the programming of John Carmack. While the gameplay and its direction were surely iconic, the soundtrack was also a very important part of the experience. Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails fame was tasked with creating a soundtrack that would truly capture the grit and setting of the title.
If you have been wanting to get your hands on the soundtrack, it now appears that you will be able to purchase it on vinyl sometime in the near future. The product was sighted on the Nine Inch Nails website and is currently listed as "coming soon". There isn't a price available but judging from other albums that are listed on the website, the LP could be priced anywhere from $20 to $30.
Bethesda Softworks and id Software announced last year that a new Quake was being worked on titled, Quake Champions. The game recently had a testing event in May and the title is expected to arrive for public play sometime in 2017.
