Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands players should be used to crossovers by now, with Ubisoft introducing Sam Fisher in a recent update and even The Predator in an earlier one. This time the franchise that the open-world title is crossing over with is another one of Ubisoft's wildly popular Tom Clancy games, that being Rainbow Six Siege.
Valkyrie, Caveira, and Twitch from the tactical shooter will arrive in Bolivia as part of the Special Operations 2 update. Here's how the new special mission that involves these operators is described by Ubisoft in its announcement:
Caveira, an elite Brazilian Operator, goes missing, Rainbow fears she's up to her old criminal ways. Intelligence agent Valkyrie has tracked her to Bolivia, and enlists the help of the Ghosts, along with nearby Operator Twitch, to find Caveira and discover out what's really going on.
In addition to the PVE mission and its related weapons and cosmetics, the update carries a new mode that introduces friendly fire, permanent death, realistic reloads, and other hardcore orientated features named Ghost Mode. Meanwhile, the Ghost War PVP mode is also getting some new content as well, such as two new maps, an observer mode, and two new classes.
Carrying all this and more, Special Operators 2 lands July 24 as a free update to Ghost Recon Wildlands on PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. Two more major updates are planned to arrive for the title before the year's end.
