Ubisoft announced today that Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword will now ship in early 2004. The game had been scheduled for release this year. The company says that it is committed to creating quality games and that it has listened to fans' concerns about certain elements of the game. With that in mind, the mission pack for Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Raven Shield, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six 3: Athena Sword, will now be released in early 2004. This later release date will allow it to develop a top quality game, the company said.
This expansion pack to Rainbow Six 3 for the PC will offer an eight mission campaign in locations from Italy and Croatia to Greece, five new multiplayer levels (Chemical Factory, Ferry Boat, University, Italian Alleys and Jungle), three new multiplayer game modes (Adversarial Terrorist Hunt, Adversarial Scattered Hunt and Capture the Enemy) and 7 additional real-world weapons (for a total of 64) . Unfortunately fans will have to wait until sometime in 2004 to experience it.
