Cheers Orphic of Laughnonstop.com for passing this one to me. It seems (at the time of posting) that the Realtek website has been defaced. Heh, I have 2 of their cards in my system but never visited their site till now. Seems some people were able to hack their way into the IIS webserver they use to put the Realtek site online.
View: Realtek Website
The site has been defaced and strong language is clearly visible on the Realtek site so please make use of parental guidance when viewing.
Seems these guys need to go back and patch their systems again huh?
Note: We have no intention of saving a screenie of the site so if anyone feels like doing this on their own webspace be my guest. At the time of posting the site was still defaced.
Update: Realtek have finally closed off their server with the following message to everyone who "demonstrated" the weakness of their server.
To Hackers: The FBI has been contacted, IP's of EVERYONE who entered out system have been logged. A full investigation will begin next week, we don't take kindly to hackers, therefore you will be reported.
