After a long wait, Red Dead Redemption 2 (RDR2) finally made its debut last Friday, and it looks like the game has racked up some impressive numbers over the weekend.
The firm delivered the news, offering up some juicy details about some of the record-breaking feats the game has achieved so far. RDR2 had the largest opening weekend sales numbers across all entertainment platforms, selling over $725 million during its three day retail run. This number would make it the second largest launch for a video game, with first place going to Rockstar's own Grand Theft Auto V, raking in over one billion in the same time frame.
According to Rockstar, the game was the most pre-ordered game on the PlayStation Network, and also had the largest one-day sales numbers and three-day sales numbers for the platform. Sales aren't everything, but luckily the quality of the game is also quite impeccable, with initial reviews of the title being quite positive, with many praising the look and feel of the game.
Red Dead Redemption 2 is now available for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Those with a PC are currently out of luck, as there hasn't been mention of such a version yet.
