Report: Google to Announce Video Deal

Move over Apple, Google is entering the video download sales
market.

Google is expected to announce
Friday at CES 2006 a new service that will allow users to download videos over
the Internet.

According to the Wall Street
Journal Google will be providing videos from CBS, NBA, and other
providers.

Though no price has been
announced for this service, the price is expected to be similar to that of
Apple's iTunes Music Store. Another unknown factor is whether users will be
able to download videos through a web application or desktop application like
Google Earth.

Regardless of that, this
announcement from Google can only help the movement of buying digital video
from the Internet.
