The Samsung Galaxy S21 FE has leaked quite heavily in the past few weeks. Virtually everything about the phone is known including a tentative release time frame, specifications, unboxing videos, and more. Some missing pieces of the puzzle up until now included a firm release date as well as the pricing. However, these questions may have now been answered too, thanks to an online leak.
According to credible leaker @OnLeaks on Twitter, the handset will launch in France on January 4th, 2022. The report claims that the variant hosting 128GB of storage will be sold for €759 whereas the 256GB version will cost €829. Previously, Walmart in the U.S. had inadvertently leaked the purported device, claiming its price to be $699 (~€618), which does make the European price tag more expensive.
Based on reports, the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE sports a 401ppi 6.4-inch AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate along with an under-screen fingerprint scanner. It is powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 888 Octacore SoC running at 2.84 GHz and features a 5G modem too. The storage is not expandable but you do get dual-nano-SIM slots and eSIM capability as well. Additionally, it features up to 8GB of RAM.
The handset will be available in various colors and will reportedly have a 32MP front-facing camera, and three rear cameras. Finally, it features a 4,500 mAh battery with USB-C fast charging, a polycarbonate shell, and an aluminum frame. We'll likely learn more details about the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in the coming days leading up to purported launch date.
