Rocksteady Studios was ready with a gameplay trailer for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League at The Game Awards 2021 presentation today. In this trailer the super-villain turned 'good guys' squad is going up against The Flash, the fastest man alive in the DC universe. Catch the gameplay trailer above.
Many combat sequences of Deadshot, King Shark Harley Quinn, and Captain Boomerang is shown off in the trailer, including what seems to be their high-profile special moves. Brainiac is the one controlling the Justice League now, and the brainwashed speedster The Flash can be seen here as well. His speed doesn't seem to be affected by the invasion, as at one point he is seen creating a tornado.
Unlike Rocksteady's previous games in the DC universe, their new project takes place in Metropolis, Superman's city. The title will feature four-player cooperative play as well, though solo play will be possible. It's unclear how will the live-service elements factor into the action experience.
Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is coming to PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PlayStation 5 sometime in 2022. A firm release date is yet to be attached to the game.
