Outside of EA published movie tie-ins, a couple of LEGO titles, and mobile entries, the Harry Potter universe hasn't really been explored very much in video games. But, a brand new role-playing game may be in the works, with footage of a supposedly unannounced game set in the wizarding world being leaked today.
The video in full is seen above, and the Reddit user 'VapeThisBro' that put this out into the world - who had apparently gotten a hold of it via a focus group - also had information about the game's setting and even a list of features:
Set in the 19th Century (1800's) Wizarding World, this 3rd person open-world action RPG game centers around your character with unique abilities who has eared a late acceptance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. You are a newly arrived 5th year student to Hogwarts that demonstrates a latent gift for magic with a unique ability to track and identify remnants of a potent ancient power.
Upon arrival, strange events begin to materialize In the Forbidden Forrest and trouble begins to brew within the castle walls. Together with Professor Elezar Fig, you embark on a journey through both familiar and never before seen locations to bring to light the truth behind these mysterious occurrences.

If the leak turns out to be accurate, the game will have players exploring a whole different era in the Harry Potter universe, without the story being weighed down by the proceedings in the books. There have also been rumors of the Disney Infinity studio, Avalanche Software, being involved in a Harry Potter RPG last year, but nothing has been confirmed as of yet to say that this is that project.
As always, take this leak with a grain of salt until some official announcements come flooding in. All this could be an elaborate hoax or simply footage from a canceled title. Even still, Harry Potter fans may have a new game to look forward to.
