Updated: Microsoft announces new phone-Web syncing service

Update 1: SeattlePi reports that Microsoft has said that it would release a new service that would sync information on a user's cell phone, like contacts, text messages, and photos with a password-protected Web site. However, the url reported by Engadget now redirects here

Engadget earlier reported that Microsoft's SkyBox beta sign-up site was up and running (for some time) in preparation for a Mobile World Congress. Microsoft has been working on products codenamed SkyBox, SkyLine and SkyMarket, which we revealed as the answer to Apple's MobileMe.

The above screenshot shows that its not called - SkyBox - but - Microsoft MyPhone beta
