Just as we cross the halfway point of July, Microsoft has made available the second round of free games for Xbox Live Gold members. As the company announced last month, Runbow for Xbox One and LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean for Xbox 360 are now available for the low, low price of free. The latter is also accessible on Xbox One consoles through Backward Compatibility.
The new free games' store links and descriptions are as follows:
Runbow (Xbox One, July 16 - August 15)
A fast-paced party action game with a never before seen color mechanic. Up to nine players can race against each other locally or online as platforms and obstacles appear and disappear when the colored background changes. Go head-to-head in one of Runbow’s modes, including Arena, King of the Hill, ColourMaster, and The Bowhemoth.
LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean (Xbox 360, July 16 - 31)
Time for a swashbuckling adventure in LEGO form. Play as characters from the classic film series, each with their own personalities and abilities, and join your friends in co-op play! The wide-open seas are full of bricks for the plundering in LEGO Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game.
Also, for those who missed it, Grow Up from the previous Games with Gold promotion is still available to claim until July 31 for Xbox One owners. Keep in mind that only claimed Xbox 360 games will remain playable if the Gold subscription is discontinued, unlike claimed Xbox One games, which are only accessible with an active subscription.
