Samsung and Hatch team up to deliver 5G gaming to Galaxy S10 5G users in the U.S.

The 5G game streaming service, Hatch, and the Korean smartphone maker, Samsung, have announced a partnership which delivers the new Hatch for Samsung app on the Samsung Galaxy S10 5G for users based in the United States. Hatch for Samsung is available in the Game Launcher and gives customers an entire month’s worth of Hatch Premium with the purchase of their new Galaxy S10 5G.

With Hatch Premium membership, players can get on-demand access to more than 100 mobile games including Monument Valley, Hitman GO, and Space Invaders Infinity Gene. By purchasing Hatch Premium, players get access to all of the available in-game purchases too, without the need for buying them separately. Hatch Premium also gives subscribers access to Hatch Originals such as Arkanoid Rising, which are exclusive to the platform.

Discussing the news, Hatch co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer, Vesa Jutila, said:

“We are thrilled to work with market leader Samsung to bring cloud gaming to some of the world’s largest gaming markets. Extending our collaboration from South Korea to the US means we have the opportunity to showcase 5G gaming to some of the world’s most demanding consumers on mobile and dramatically grow the addressable market for our network of 160+ game developer partners.”

Meanwhile, Chris Jo, VP and GM, Head of Products and Operations, Content and Service Division, at Samsung Electronics America, said:

“The blazing fast speed and low latency of 5G will totally transform mobile gaming, so we’re thrilled to work with Hatch to pioneer 5G gaming in the US. The Galaxy S10 5G is built to do more of what you love – hyperfast — and we’re excited to introduce consumers to a new world of services that can be experienced like never before with 5G.”

Live leaderboards are also available through the app, which players can access to compete against their friends for the top position. Live leaderboards, as the name implies, update in real time and are compatible with dozens of games including Arkanoid Rising, Horizon Chase, Beach Buggy Racing, and Angry Birds.
