Last week, Google announced that its next major Android update - previously known as the 'M' release - will be referred to as version 6.0 'Marshmallow' when it soon launches on the company's new Nexus handsets, and begins rolling out to existing devices.
Google hasn't yet revealed precisely when Marshmallow will get its official launch, although it has said that it will arrive before the end of this quarter. As the launch approaches, the company's partners are also preparing for its release - and one manufacturer has now revealed the devices that it's lining up for the update.
SlashGear reports that Samsung has "confirmed" a list of devices that it plans to update to Android 6.0:
- Galaxy Note 5
- Galaxy Note 4
- Galaxy Note 4 Duos
- Galaxy Note Edge
- Galaxy S6 Edge+
- Galaxy S6 Edge
- Galaxy S6
- Galaxy S6 Duos
- Galaxy Alpha
- Galaxy Tab A
The report claims that this is "a fully exhaustive list of Samsung devices set to receive this update FOR NOW", but adds the caveat that "there may be more in the future" - so if your device isn't on the list, don't panic just yet.
