Samsung introduced the mid-range Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ last month with a promise that it will go on sale in early January. During the launch event, the company didn't reveal the price tag nor the countries where it will go on sale. However, it was later confirmed that the Galaxy A8 will cost €499 while the Galaxy A8+ will be priced at €599 in Europe.
As for availability, the handsets are set to launch in Vietnam on January 6 for 10,990,000VND ($483) and 13,490,000VND ($593) respectively. The company is taking pre-orders in the country, with the Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A8+ expected to hit more markets in the coming weeks.
Now, according to a new report citing a "trusted source", Samsung is expected to introduce the new A-series devices in India on January 10 with pricing and availability details to be shared on the day. At the moment, there's no official word from Samsung India about the launch of the new devices, but with CES 2018 just around the corner, the South Korean company could perhaps share further details about the global rollout of the handsets.
The new A-series handsets incorporate a premium design and decent specifications, featuring a glass front and back along with an aluminum frame. Here's a quick summary of what the devices have to offer in terms of hardware:
