Earlier this month, Samsung unveiled the Galaxy A8s smartphone in China with an Infinity-O display and the device was set to be available for pre-order starting December 21. Now the base variant of the device is available from an online retailer in the country.
The Galaxy A8s was revealed to have two variants, one featuring 6GB of RAM, and the other featuring 8GB of RAM. Both the devices pack 128GB of storage, Snapdragon 710-chipset, a triple-camera setup combining a 24MP, a 10MP, and a 5MP camera on the rear, a 24MP camera on the front, and a 3400 mAh battery. However, the main highlight of the device is its nearly borderless 6.4-inch display with a camera punched into it.
In China, the base variant of the device is now being sold for CNY 2,999 ($434) through online retailer JD.com. Additionally, the retailer is offering power banks, phone holders and store vouchers with the device. The same version of the smartphone is being sold by the official Samsung store for the same price. There is no word on when the higher RAM variant would go on sale. Also, we do not when the offline sales of the device would commence.
