Samsung Galaxy M51 with Snapdragon 730G and 7,000mAh battery launched in India

After an official teaser and an unexpected listing, Samsung has finally launched the Galaxy M51 smartphone in India today. It is the latest device in the brand's M-series, and the company claims it is being targeted at the "tech savvy millennial and Gen Z" consumer crowd.

The handset comes with a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Infinity-O Super AMOLED Plus display with a resolution of 2400x1080 pixels and a screen-to-body ratio of 91%. With 420 nits brightness, the screen is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The device is powered by Snapdragon 730G chipset, and is coupled with Adreno 618 GPU.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with either 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and the on-board UFS 2.1 storage capacity of 128 GB is expandable up to 512 GB via a microSD card.

The rear camera is a quad lens setup which includes a 64MP primary camera with LED flash, a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens, a 5MP depth sensor, and a 5MP macro camera lens. The selfie camera is a 32MP shooter. With the Single Take feature, the device can capture seven photos and three videos for up to 10 seconds with a single tap.

It includes a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side and the phone supports dual nano-SIM. A 7,000mAh battery with 25W fast-charging supported via the USB Type-C port powers the Galaxy M51, which runs One UI 2.1 based on Android 10.

On the connectivity front, the Galaxy M51 features dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS/GLONASS, NFC, USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and 3.5mm headphone jack. It comes in Celestial Black and Electric Blue colors. The 6GB RAM variant is priced at ₹24,999 (approximately $340), and the 8GB RAM version carries a price tag of ₹26,999 ($367 approximately). It will be available on Amazon and Samsung websites starting on September 18.
