After rolling out the One UI 2.5 update for the Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S10 lineup, Samsung has now started rolling out the update for the Galaxy Note9, the company's flagship Note from 2018.
The One UI 2.5 update for the Galaxy Note9 is still based on Android 10 but it comes with the October 2020 security update. As of now, Samsung is rolling out the update for the Note9 in Germany but a wider rollout should commence in the following days and weeks.
The One UI 2.5 update brings some notable new features to the Note9, many of which first debuted on the Galaxy S20 series earlier this year. Some of the new features include Wireless DeX, Single Take mode in Camera app, gesture navigation support for third-party launchers, Pro Video mode, improved Samsung keyboard, and more. You can read about all the new features and changes in One UI 2.5 here.
While it is good to see Samsung roll out major updates for the Galaxy Note9 two years after its release, the disappointing news here is that this is the last major update for it. While Samsung will roll out security updates for the Galaxy Note9 for another year, the device will not be getting any new One UI or Android OS update.
