Samsung is working on a new TizenOS-powered smartwatch, the Galaxy Watch 3. Some details about the wearable had leaked last week and now, the first set of photos of the smartwatch has also leaked.
The Galaxy Watch 3 will be available in two variants: 41mm and 45mm. The former will feature a 1.2-inch display while the latter will sport a 1.4-inch circular display. The 41mm variant will have a dimension of 45x46.2x11.1mm and sport a 247mAh battery. As for the 45mm variant, it will measure 41x42.5x11.3mm and come with a slightly bigger 340mAh one. As the photo below shows, the wearable will have a notably slimmer rotating bezel than the Galaxy Watch which will also allow Samsung to include a bigger display on it. The photos were posted on the Korean NRRA certification website which also hints at the impending announcement of the wearable
Leaks point to the Galaxy Watch 3 being available in stainless steel and titanium variants. It will sport 1GB RAM along with 8GB of internal storage. As for sensors, the Galaxy Watch 3 will feature a heart rate monitor with eight pulse-reading photodiodes, blood pressure monitoring, ECG, and the usual array of sensors like an accelerometer, barometer, and gyroscope.
It is possible that Samsung could announce the Galaxy Watch 3 in July ahead of the Galaxy Note20 unveiling in August as it had done with the Galaxy Watch Active2 launch last year.
