Next week, Samsung is scheduled to hold its virtual Unpacked event where it will announce the Galaxy Note20 series, Galaxy Watch 3, Galaxy Buds Live, and more. The Galaxy Note20 and Galaxy Buds Live have already leaked in hands-on videos and detailed screenshots and now, the Galaxy Watch 3 is getting the same treatment as well.
A hands-on video of the 41mm variant of Galaxy Watch 3 by TechTalkTV confirms that it will indeed come with a 1.2-inch AMOLED display and a physical rotating bezel that Samsung had last used on the Galaxy Watch. For the Galaxy Watch Active series, Samsung had switched to a virtual rotating bezel. The bezel size is going to be notably smaller on the Galaxy Watch 3 and the side buttons have also been redesigned which gives the smartwatch a sleeker look. While not shown in the video, Samsung will also release a 45mm version of the Galaxy Watch 3 with a 1.4-inch circular display.
Other specs of the Galaxy Watch 3 confirmed in the video include 1GB RAM, 8GB of storage, and IP68 rating. In terms of health tracking, the Galaxy Watch 3 will come with two new features -- ECG measurement and blood pressure monitoring. While these features did eventually made their way to the Galaxy Watch Active2, they were only available in selected regions due to the lack of approval from regulatory bodies. It remains to be seen if Samsung will be able to bring these two features to more parts of the world with the Galaxy Watch 3 or not.
