Samsung has announced that it is bringing more features from the Galaxy Note 10 to the Galaxy S10 series. The company had previously rolled out a major software update for the Galaxy S10 that added a number of Note 10 features like Live Focus Video, Video Editor, Night mode for the front camera, and Link to Windows integration to it.
The latest software update for the Galaxy S10e, Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, and S10+ 5G will introduce a smarter Gallery app, Auto Hotspot, improved search functionality, and more.
The updated Gallery app on the Galaxy S10 series will allow you to find photos using keywords. For example, you can quickly search for all cat photos in your gallery by simply searching for "cats."
The new Media and Devices panel makes it easier to control other multimedia devices around you. This panel can be quickly accessed from the notification shade.
The updated and more powerful device search will now show content recommendations from streaming apps thereby making it easier for you to find the right music, movie, or TV shows to watch or listen to.
The new Auto Hotspot feature will automatically create a hotspot connection, when required, with other Samsung devices that share the same Samsung account as your Galaxy S10 or are a part of your family account.
The AR Doodle function from the Galaxy Note 10 which allowed one to doodle while recording videos is also coming to the Galaxy S10 series with this software update. S10 users will be able to use AR Doodle without an S Pen.
Lastly, the Samsung DeX feature has also been enhanced as a part of this update. Galaxy S10 users will be able to trim, edit, and personalize videos shot on their phone with the updated video editor in the Gallery app of DeX.
Samsung notes that the rollout of this software update will vary depending on your region and carrier. Selected Galaxy S10 variants have already received these features with the October security update.
