Windows 8 tablets by Samsung called: ATIV (GT-P8510) twitter.com/SamMobiles/sta…

Even though Samsung has a few issues going on in the courts, the company was able to make take significant market share in the Android community with its Galaxy branded devices. For Samsung, branding all of their Android products with the Galaxy moniker helped them to establish a sub-branding underneath the Android flag. Now it looks like Samsung will use the same strategy with Windows Phone (and other Windows products) but under the branding of Ativ.
The branding was first posted to Twitter but several other sources have also found the moniker including that Samsung has filed for a trademark on the name. Considering that the Galaxy S line has done exceptionally well for Samsung, it should come as no surprise that they will use the same strategy here.
Windows Phone 8 is right around the corner and with a Nokia/Microsoft announcement coming on September 5th, Windows Phone is about to be front and center for Microsoft. Seeing as that date is only a few days away, we should begin to hear a lot more about Windows Phone 8 over the coming days and will likely hear what each vendor has planned for the big launch that will come later this year.
