Based on recent reports, Samsung has a lot of announcements coming up, including the Note20 family, the second-generation Galaxy Fold, and a 5G variant of the Galaxy Z Flip, all of which we're expecting to hear about at an Unpacked event in August. But before that, the company might announce a couple of smaller devices.
According to a report from SamMobile, citing its own sources, Samsung will announce the Galaxy Buds Live and the Galaxy Watch 3 sometime next month. We've been hearing a bit about the Galaxy Watch 3 over the past few days, with reports suggesting that it will bring back the physical rotating bezel that was on the original Galaxy Watch. Not much else is known yet, but it's been two years since the Galaxy Watch came out, so this could be good news for fans of that design.
As for the Galaxy Buds Live, it seems that this will be the official name for Samsung's bean-shaped wireless earbuds, which were spotted in renders a couple of months ago. Not much has been heard about these earbuds since that initial leak, but they have been reported to feature active noise cancellation and cost under $150, which would be a notable feat since Apple's noise-cancelling AirPods Pro cost $250.
It wouldn't be all that surprising if these devices were announced prior to the Unpacked event in August. Last year, the Galaxy Tab S6 and the Galaxy Watch Active2 were also announced in the week leading up to the event, leaving Samsung with more time to focus on its phones. The report also suggests that the devices will be available around the same time as Unpacked in August.
