Earlier today, the Microsoft Store twitter account tweeted that users could score a $10 Xbox digital gift card when a pre-order of a game is purchased via the Store.
The gift does not apply to all games listed here, but you could preorder Halo 5: Guardians, Battlefield Hardline, Rise of the Tombraider or Dead Island 2 among others to qualify for the gift. Most games that include the free gift card range between $39.99 and $59.99, but we found one costing $29.99 called ScreamRide for Xbox 360 that sweetens the deal.
The offer doesn't appear to have any dodgy fine print conditions, which are listed at the bottom of the page, and added below:
Another advantage when you pre-order Xbox games from Microsoft is a $10 Xbox gift card digital code you're given for some games upon checkout. In addition, you are guaranteed delivery on release day if you pre-order games by a certain date (this differs depending on the game and release date). That means you'll be able to start playing right away, without the inconvenience of waiting in line at the store. (emphasis ours)
Although one user did comment that reward members don't qualify for this offer.
In any case, a free $10 gift card is not to be scoffed at, right?
