Beat em' up title Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game based on the comic series of the same name made its debut back in 2010. At the time, it was available digitally for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. The title was last heard of about six years ago when it was delisted, essentially making it a game lost in time.
Today video game developer and publisher Ubisoft took viewers by surprise by announcing Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition at its latest Ubisoft Forward event. The 8-bit arcade title will be making its way to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia and PC platforms. As it is the complete edition, the newly announced game that has been resurrected from the grave will include the Knives Chau and Wallace Wells DLCs.
The blurb for the Scott Pilgrim video game reads:
"Rediscover the beloved 2D arcade-style beat'em up inspired by the iconic comic book series and movie Scott Pilgrim vs. The World in this Complete Edition! Play as your favorite characters - Scott Pilgrim, Ramona Flowers, Knives Chau, Stephen Stills, and more. Team up with 3 of your friends as you battle your way through waves of tough enemies to defeat the League of Evil Exes!"
A trailer for the re-released beat em' up title was also revealed, as seen above. It is yet to be confirmed whether fans will finally get to see a physical release of the Scott Pilgrim game. For now, the only other bit of information disclosed by Ubisoft is the release window.
Scott Pilgrim vs. The World: The Game Complete Edition is due out holiday 2020 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and Stadia.
