A week after its release on the PC, the sci-fi shooter Section 8 Prejudice has now unlocked a new gameplay mode for free for both the PC and Xbox 360 version. The game's developer Timegate Studios announced today that the Assault mode is now available for all players of the game after the game's players achieved 10 million in-game "kills".
The Assault mode has two teams and two rounds. In the first round, the team races to capture all of a map's control points. The second round is more defensive as players try to hold onto the control points for as long as possible. Timegate also announced today that members of the game's development team will be online to play Section 8 Prejudice on the Xbox 360 version this Sunday, May 15 from 5 to 8 pm Eastern time.
As we have reported previously, Section 8 Prejudice is a sequel to 2009's Section 8 which was released as both a retail game and a downloadable title. This sequel is currently only available via download for $15 via the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade service and on the PC via several different download sites. The game contains both a single player campaign mode as well as as multiplayer online support for up to 32 players. It also has a web page where players can check on various in-game statistics and set up clan pages for teams. The game is scheduled to be released for the PS3 later this summer. So far Timegate has yet to reveal sales numbers for the game.
