Microsoft has been consolidating its messaging services over the years but one area where it has been expanding is the type of mediums used for messaging. While Skype is good for chatting and video calls, the company created Qik, under the Skype brand, that makes it easy to share short videos with your friends.
If you have been using Qik, there is a good chance you have wanted to save, locally, the clips created with the app. Microsoft is finally delivering that feature today with a new update along with bug fixes on each of the platforms.
We are curious how many people are actually using the app. While we suspect the target demographic are teens and the like, if you are using the messaging service, let us know in the comments below.
The update is available today in the Windows Phone Store and Google Play Store, and the iPhone version will be available in the next few days in the Apple App Store.
