Snapchat integrates Bitmojis into app, months after Bitstrips purchase

Snapchat has updated its app today to offer its users a more personalized way to spruce up content with the addition of Bitmoji. If you are unfamiliar, Bitmojis are personalized emoji characters created in the likeness of the users that can be sent to family, friends and enemies.

The news above comes as no surprise, as Snapchat recently acquired Bitstrips, the company responsible for Bitmoji, a few months back. In order to use Bitmoji in Snapchat, you will have to either create a new account within Snapchat or link the account - both of these actions can be done within the Stickers section.

Snapchat continues its string of updates that bring further amusement and usability to the app. Recently, the company debuted 'Memories' that allows users to save Snaps and Stories to the cloud. The Snapchat Bitmoji update is now available for iOS and Android devices via their respective download portals.
