Although CES just wrapped up a couple weeks ago, companies are already preparing for the next big event, Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona. While CES encompasses everything that has to do with technology from TVs, IoT, vehicle enhancements, cameras and more - MWC generally tends to focus on mobile technologies like smartphones, wearables, etc. With only a few weeks to go, it appears that Sony has sent out invites for an event at MWC.
Sony might not be the first option you think about when contemplating a new smartphone, but the firm has released a steady stream of products into the market over the past few years and has even offered decent support when it comes to Android updates. Although a high-end handset might not make an appearance at MWC, there are rumors that two mid-range devices will be unveiled to the public.
Sony's MWC event will take place on February 27 at 8:30 am Central European Time or 11:30 pm Pacific Time. The event will be live streamed on Sony's official website.
