Sony's PSP has reportedly sold more than 185,000 units in its first four days according to official Chart-Track figures. This is more than double that of Sony's closest competitor, Nintendo whose DS console sold 87,000 in its UK launch week. Despite the high price the PSP looks set to become a huge hit in the UK market. This is in spite of many of the public who considered the £179.99 (331USD) too expensive.
With the PSP, Sony is aiming to appeal to more than just gamers, with the device able to play both music and video, market analysts expect it to challenge the Apple iPod as the "must have gadget" this Christmas.
