When Sony officially announced its plans to launch the PlayStation 4 game console in February, the one big thing the company failed to show was the console itself. At the time Sony executives said they wanted to wait for another time to show the console's design. Shuhei Yoshida, the president of Worldwide Studios at Sony Computer Entertainment, seemed to downplay the idea that the company needed to show the design immediately, saying, "The console is just a box."
Today, Sony finally gave the world a look at the design for the PS4 console. Unfortunately, the video posted on YouTube was a teaser for the final reveal that Sony says will come on June 10 at its E3 2013 press conference. The clip had a blurry image of the console that was edited with extreme close up shots of the PS4 case, nearly all of which can't really be pinpointed as to their actual features.
The PS4 teaser video comes just one day before Microsoft hold its next Xbox reveal event in Redmond, Washington. Unlike Sony's first PS4 press conference, Microsoft is expected to show the final design for the next Xbox game console on Tuesday, along with announcing other details on the hardware and software behind it.
