Electronic Arts' next game in the Need For Speed racing series is Need For Speed: The Run. It's a mix of both arcade racing as well as some out-of-the-car action sequences. But it looks like there will be more action in the game than we first thought. EA announced today that the game will feature virtual versions of two Sports Illustrated swimsuit models. One will be Irina Shayk, the cover model for the 2011 SI swimsuit issue. The other is SI swimsuit feature model Chrissy Teigen.
EA's press release says that Shayk and Teigen will be featured in the game as best friends to each other and as rivals to Need For Speed: The Run's main character Jack as they all compete in an illegal cross country race that runs from San Francisco to New York City. You can check out a brief trailer showing both the real and virtual versions of Shayk and Teigen in the video below.
In addition, EA and Sports Illustrated will be teaming up for a cross promotion campaign. For $49.95, games can get a bundle deal that includes a six month subscription to Sports Illustrated magazine, either the Xbox 360 or PS3 versions of Need For Speed The Run and a special DVD that goes behind the scenes on the making of the game. The game itself, which uses the same Frostbite 2 graphics engine as the upcoming first person shooter Battlefield 3, will be released for the PC, Xbox 360, PS3, Wii and 3DS platforms on November 15.
