Spotify announced on Tuesday that is has snagged Joe Rogan's podcast, which will be available on the platform September 1 onwards and will become a Spotify exclusive at some point before the end of the year. Until now, Rogan's podcast, "The Joe Rogan Experience," has never been available on Spotify, let alone exclusive to any platform.

Rogan has interviewed prominent politicians and businessmen on the show, which notably include Tesla CEO Elon Musk and U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders. Although the company did not disclose the details of the multi-year agreement, the Wall Street Journal reported that Rogan will be paid more than $100 million.
Spotify stated that Rogan will maintain full creative control over the show, and video episodes will also be available on the platform as in-app podcasts. Spotify recently announced that it now has 130 million premium subscribers, and 286 million monthly active users.
