EA really wants you to try out Star Wars: Battlefront 2 before its official launch on November 17 next month. After Microsoft made Xbox Live free for all Xbox One and Xbox 360 players this weekend - perhaps at EA's behest, given the blatant Battlefront 2 promotion during the event - to coincide with the beta, the publisher has now decided to extend the beta for two more days.

Initially scheduled to end earlier today, EA today announced that the open beta for its upcoming action shooter will remain in place until Wednesday, October 11. No reason was given for the change and it doesn't seem that any additional content will be made available during the extended period.
As we reported earlier, unlike its predecessor, Battlefront 2 comes with a proper single player campaign to justify its $60 price, though that's not available in the beta. You can still check out how the new and improved shooting mechanics feel in the four multiplayer modes available and the ton of new content that has been added on top of what was found in the original game.
