Fans of one of the biggest racing franchises on consoles can look forward to a 4-day demo later next week after Sony announced it on the PlayStation Blog today. The GT Sport demo will not only allow racing fans to have a go at the game before its official launch later this month, but will give them the chance to earn additional credits and cars, since all progress in the demo will be carried forward to the full game.
The demo will be available for pre-load on October 7 at 8 am PT for those who subscribe to PlayStation Plus, and it will go live on October 9 at 12 am PT and will officially end on October 12 at 8 am PT. The game will feature three modes, namely Arcade, Sport, and Campaign, and other features that will be introduced for the first time is Scapes photography and a custom Livery Editor.
The Scapes photography mode will feature HDR-support and is supposedly something to behold, since it will not only be a traditional photo mode seen in nearly every racing game but will allow you to take a picture of your car in hundreds of real-world locations with 'light energy' effects. The Livery Editor will allow you to - unsurprisingly - add your personal touch to your favorite car.
The official launch of GT Sport will be on October 17 and will launch exclusively on PlayStation 4. The game will feature several enhancements for those playing on the PlayStation Pro.
