Steam's Summer Sale is one of the most anticipated sales of the year for gamers on the platform. Last year, Valve offered thousands of titles for up to 90% off, which included popular ones like Assassin's Creed, Arma, Call of Duty, GTA V, and Alien: Isolation.
Although Valve doesn't officially announce the starting period for its promotions keeping in view that it could potentially impact its prior sales, the dates for the company's sales almost always leak. This year is no different.
According to a screenshot posted by a user on Reddit, this year's Steam Summer Sale will begin on June 22 and end on July 5. Considering that last year's promotion began around the same time period - June 23, to be exact - it is quite possible that the rumored date is indeed correct.
The purported screenshot of these details was reportedly taken from the closed Steamworks developers group. As the name implies, this group is not accessible to casual users. In fact, a moderator on the Reddit thread has already warned that the post violates Valve's non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Although these dates are only a rumor for now, and keeping in view that Valve likely won't be validating them, it is recommended that you take this piece of news with a grain of salt.
